For the Everett faithful that are hungry for more than Turkey on their Thanksgiving Day weekend, and need their football fix, there is an alternative and it is for a great cause. On Saturday November 24 at 3 pm at Everett Memorial Stadium the Tide’s alumni will host their fifth annual Mustache Bowl. The goal of the game is to give back to a community that gave so much to us.The Mustache Bowl is run by all Everett alumni (many football, but also hockey, basketball, and baseball) and this year’s flag football game between the Ferry Street Flames and the Main Street Mulligans will benefit the Everett Junior Crimson Tide Organization, who are already sending five cheerleading squads to the nationals in Disney World, and possibly two more football squads as well. This presents a great challenge for President Brian Dimond and the rest of the coaches and parents. The cost for each kid to go to Florida for the nationals is upwards of eight hundred dollars. Many members of the game had the privilege of representing Everett for nationals in their childhood, and would like to help every single player, cheerleader, and coach get that same opportunity. It is a special experience and one that we know the community of Everett will rally around in order to make a reality for the youth of the city. To donate go to http://www.gofundme.com/1igvtw?pc=fb_cr and remember 100 PERECENT of proceeds will go to helping sending the kids to Florida. Thank you for help and Roll Tide!
