Drug Dealer Arrested by Everett Police Special Investigations Unit

 

Investigators assigned to the Everett Police Special Investigations Unit assisted by

Malden Police, North Metro SWAT (Everett & Revere Police) and Massachusetts State

Police arrested a party wanted for drug distribution in Everett.

Arrested was Angel Melendez, 33 of Everett.

Police obtained a search warrant on Friday from Malden District Court. The primary target of the search warrant was 134 Vernal Street and Melendez.

With the assistance of North Metro Swat the warrant was executed today around 6:00 am.

Seized during the warrant service were over 7 small bags of heroin, 2 small bags of cocaine, 2 scales, and $1,160 in US Currency.

Police also noted that the home appeared to be an illegal rooming house and a large amount of garbage (including old mattresses) in the back yard. Everett Code Enforcement to respond to the address.

The defendant, who is being charged with drug possession and distribution, will be arraigned today in Malden District Court.

All charges are allegations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
